Rajasthan Cycling Challenge

Day 1: Delhi to Bharatpur
Upon arrival at Delhi International Airport, you will be greeted and assisted with the vehicle transfer to Bharatpur, the eastern gateway to Rajasthan. Bharatpur is renowned for the Keoladeo Ghana National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the finest water-bird sanctuaries globally. This shallow, freshwater marsh attracts thousands of migratory birds. After reaching our resort, we'll have the opportunity to visit the National Park on cycle rickshaws.
Day 2: Visit to Agra
Today, we will visit one of the most awe-inspiring and extravagant monuments ever built - the Taj Mahal. Constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan between 1631 and 1653 in memory of his beloved wife, this magnificent structure features thousands of inlaid semi-precious stones. The rest of the day can be spent exploring the city of Agra. In the evening, we'll return to the hotel for an event briefing followed by dinner. We'll also have a cycle fitting session, either today or the previous day, depending on the timing.
Day 3: Karauli
We will start the day with a coach transfer to Bayana, the starting point of our cycling journey. From here, we'll cycle through numerous small villages, witnessing and experiencing the local way of life. The scenic route passes through agricultural fields and remains traffic-free until we reach Masalpur, where we'll navigate through the busy town to arrive at the palace.
Day 4: Rathambore
Today, we'll cycle to Ranthambore National Park, a prime example of Project Tiger’s conservation efforts in Rajasthan. This park is a favorite haunt of wildlife enthusiasts and professional wildlife photographers from around the world, renowned for its tigers. Besides tigers, the park is home to a variety of species, including sambar, cheetah, wild boar, leopard, sloth bear, jackal, and hyena. Covering 1334 sq km, the park boasts beautiful scenery.
Day 5: Talabgaon
Our destination today is Talabgaon, a city that embodies the rich culture of the Rajasthan region, reflecting the ancient Indian way of life. The villages in this area are symbolic of the state, with a rich and varied culture depicted through music and dance, integral to local traditions and celebrations. We will stay overnight at a 200-year-old castle.
Day 6: Dausa
Today, we head to Dausa, an ancient town of archaeological significance. Once the first capital of this region, Dausa now stands as a silent witness to its bygone glory, with an old fort and numerous small havelis scattered across the terrain. As we cycle through the vibrant villages of Rajasthan, we will experience the stunning countryside and eventually arrive at our hotel for an overnight rest.
Day 7: Jaipur
Our final day of cycling will be the shortest, leading us to Ramgarh Hunting Lodge, our finish line for the day. By now, we will be well accustomed to our saddles and should easily complete the ride. After a brief celebration and a delicious lunch, we will head towards Jaipur, the vibrant capital of Rajasthan, popularly known as the ‘Pink City.’
Day 8 : Free Day at Jaipur
Today, you have a full day to explore the fascinating city of Jaipur. The City Palace, located in the heart of the old city, is an incredibly well-preserved palace featuring museums and artifacts. Jaipur is a shopper's paradise, offering a variety of handicrafts ranging from papier-mâché puppets to exquisitely carved furniture. The city is also famous for its precious and semi-precious gems, marble statues, costume jewelry, and textile prints. You can shop in Johri Bazaar for local handicrafts, jewelry, and sweets, or explore the city's colorful bazaars at your leisure.
Day 9: Depart
Transfer back to Delhi for your departure. This marks the end of your Rajasthan Cycling Challenge. Embark on this incredible journey and create unforgettable memories while exploring the heart of India on two wheels!
