Tour Overview

A unique experience of pedalling through unknown backroads of Kochi, visiting the mangrove forests, fishermen villages, backwaters and secluded beaches near Kochi Meet our guides at the start point. After familiarizing with your bikes, you will start your day’s cycling through the narrow lanes and mangrove gardens on the outskirts of Palluruthy. After an initial stretch on tarmac roads, you will cycle on mud roads navigating your way through the goats and cows on the road. This trail allows you to explore the rural landscapes hidden within the city. You could stop to take pictures as the fishermen roll up their Chinese fishing nets and locals try their luck using traditional fishing methods. You will be cycling through narrow bund roads with spectacular scenery on both sides at the outskirts of Kumbalangi. There is a short refreshment break planned at a homestay, where you get to interact with the family, learn about their lifestyle and maybe try your hand at traditional fishing. Restart the cycling following the beach road towards Kannamaly and stop at a secluded beach, unknown even to most regular travellers in Kochi. After a short stop at the beach you hit the good tarmac road for our final stretch to push your biking skills by pedalling all the way back to the finish point. This would be a memorable experience for the cyclist who wants to take a short half day break, travelling off the touristy trails to visit the scenic backwaters and secluded beaches near Kochi.
