We had a fantastic week in the Western Ghats, amazing scenery and wildlife, and the tour made it very easy and relaxing for us. We want to express our huge appreciation for Vipin and Rahul, as they are really excellent guides, who did a great job organising everything without ever looking stressed (or getting annoyed with my kids!) and were fun to be with.
Vipin was there for othe first two days and was very knowledgeable and friendly.
We then had five days with Rahul - he has excellent knowledge of the wildlife and seemed to really enjoy helping us find animals. He also enjoyed surprising us with interesting snacks to try! He was well organised and looked after us really well, made sure the trip went very smoothly. We also appreciated how friendly and courteous he was to all the people we came across in the mountains. But overall he was great company for our whole family - always cheerful and laughing, and we were sad to say good bye at the end of the trip. Everyday was different and special. At Periyar, it was amazing to walk past elephants, gaurs and a great hornbill. The rainforest, cardamom plantation, and peaks on the first day were also incredible, and it was so great to be away from the crowds. One way we supported the local communities was by having local guides (at the National Parks, tea plantations, cardamom plantations) as well as our Kalypso guides. Our accommodation were very luxurious and we really enjoyed the comfort and great food and slept well. 

Our walking holiday with Kalypso Adventures was active, interesting and educational. It gave us a chance to get close to and learn about local animals, birds, and agriculture. Also to find out where all our favourite spices came from. We appreciated high standards of welcome, accommodation and food each evening after a strenuous days trekking. The most memorable part of the holiday was trekking in the Periyar Tiger Reserve, being shown many trees, plants, birds and evidence of wild animals
 

The most memorable or exciting part of your holiday was being in the beautiful, lush and varied Kerala countryside with an experienced and super friendly local guide Alphin, who was able to give us so much local knowledge. Alphin was very personable, knowledgeable and attentive and made the holiday so enjoyable and easy. Also e-bikes were a fantastic way to cover a lot of ground and be close to nature, and were perfect in the heat.
 

BIG thank you for the tour. Vipin, Rahul, Krishnakumar and Jayan were brilliant. The bicycles were good with low gears and hydraulic brakes. The hotels were great, better than expected. Food was lovely and plenty of opportunities for spicy/hot dishes ????. Impressed with Kerala - the wonderful scenery, friendliness, high literacy rate, different religions peacefully existing side-by-side, so many different birds (think we came across over 50!), and interesting excursions 

Personally this was my third time using Kalypso,Adventures but it was Oksana's first experience of India and a "different" activity holiday and once again you and the team delivered fantastic and first class experience and vacation

I'm especially grateful that in spite of my late booking you were able secure very nice accommodation over the three weeks standouts were Old Court House, Siena Village, Lake Canopy, Lake Song, Kurialacherry House & Flamingo, Marari, great accommodation, food and service at all of these choices.

A special mention for our guide Vineeth was exceptional in adapting the schedule to address our physical limitations and practical wishes . Vineet always delivered upon any request from the moment we landed in Kochi to the time we sadly had to say goodbye.

We completed the 8 day cycling and hiking tour through the Western Ghats in Kerala. It was absolutely fantastic with the most incredible sights and experiences. The accommodation at the end of the day was comfortable and luxurious.
