We are certified Wilderness First Responders
Our managers Vishal and Prabin was selected for the Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course organized by National Outdoor Leadership School ( NOLS),USA.This intensive course had an 80 hour classroom session and a 5 hour practical session that included standards for urban and extended care situations. Special topics included but are not limited to: wound management and infection, realigning fractures and dislocations, improvised splinting techniques, patient monitoring and long term management problems, up-to-date information on all environmental emergencies, plus advice on drug therapies. Emphasis was placed on prevention and decision-making,rather than the memorization of lists.
The WFR course specifically provided them with the tools to make critical medical and evacuation decisions in remote locations.The emphasis on completing practical skills based on live scenarios and case studies has made them well equipped to handle real life situation on the field. The advanced training in CPR is an additional life saving skill set they have acquired.Having successfully completed this certification,Vishal and Prabin can proudly call themselves "WooFeRs".
