Day 1: Kochi. Arrive Kochi. Meet and assit at the Kochi International Airport and transfer to Willington Island. Check into the CGH Casino Hotel. We will take a brief guide tour of Fort Kochi in the evening.

Day 2, 3, 4: Thattekkad. From Cochin, we will take the short drive to Thattekkad. This is a lowland forest with several types of eco-systems enabling it to be one of the best birding destinations in India. This is also home to most of the endemics of the Western Ghats. Our birding by car will take us through Thattekkad, Edamalayar, Charupara and surrounding areas. Stay will be at the comfortable Hotel Maria, near Thattekkad.

Day 4, 5, 6: Munnar. We will take the 2-hour drive to Munnar and check into the Olive Brook Resort. In the next 3 days, we will vbisit the surrounding birding areas by vehicle loking for the high altitude endemics.

Day 7: Kumarakom. After a brief birding around the backwaters while cruising on a rice boat, we will make our way to the airport Hotel Lotus 8.

Day 8 – Depart.
